Hotel minibars have long been a source of trepidation for many travelers. Whether it’s the fear of a steep bill, the financial pinch of an impulse snack, or simply finding nothing tempting to consume, these tiny in-room bars can be daunting. In response to these common complaints, we initiated a project to reinvent the hotel minibar experience in the Nordic countries. Based on comprehensive feedback collected through a survey conducted by Hotels.com, we designed three distinct, ultimate minibar concepts. Each one is tailored to cater to the specific tastes and preferences of travelers in this region. I personally took charge of the aesthetic design, opting for a striking minibar crafted from lacquered red wood. We showcased these innovative minibars through a series of photo shoots at three different hotels across the Nordic countries, demonstrating not only their practical appeal but also their stylish integration into diverse hotel environments.
